so this a project finally taking its first physical steps into reality. i have been drawing obelisk and other artifacts from Ancient Egypt since i was in middle school, and i have always wanted to build one of my own. fast forward to adult hood, while not always fun it still can be you great options to building dreams. so i may not have a lot in the ways of funds for big projects but sometimes you have resources all around you and you don't know it, for example "MILK-CRATES" my job gets them every week and just throws them out. and over the years i have taken my fair share and build shelf and furniture out of them in my apartment. a common thing. now after breaking one by accident i got curious and started cutting the remains in the milk crate into various components simply out the exiting shapes you can find in them. started making or rather cleaning up and using he handles from milk crates to fix baskets i have at home and do so for others.

so this is simply expanding on that idea into making a recycled junk art that is cheap and fun.

right now i am literally covered in plastic bits from sawing up hundreds of milk crates. not the greatest thing but its fun to add this journey. going to keep at it and get some more done before the end of the night and then in the following days when not at work going to work on the layout and designs of the obelisk made out of milk crates. hope to share with you all this odd journey i have subjected myself to.

So i am kinda all over the place in my life and in my art and it shows, and if you have notices i just recently did a massive upload of photos. so i recently recovered so many photos of taken years ago of my art in weaving in fact some of the first photos of me learning the Craft. i am angry it took this many years to take the files of these photos backs it may seem small but its a big deal for me. these where all taken in 2009, feels strange looking so far back but it will be good for perspective i guess. regardless some of those fiber weaving art you seen in these photos that i am still uploading and editing and rearranging on this site are still around some are finished some are not. i will when i get time to work on them and keep the progress going.

there is also a lot of other fiber art projects i have worked on over the years well a lot of projects in fact that i have not document on here. i hope to go through the backlog of photos and projects and get them on here and share with all of you. it honestly has been good for my mental health to get these photos up and beginning working on art again.

life has been difficult lately wonderful but difficult this has been a good outlet to share what i have done. its funny that there is only a handful of art on display here on my page out of the thousands of projects i have worked on both for myself and my clients.

besides the traditional arts of weaving sewing woodworking sculpture i have also began new ventures into digital art now that i have access to computers again. it really has been great.

if you look on my page you'll find a folding called MAKEHUMAN Jessica this is the first CGI model of a human i have ever made this was just part of an ongoing process of learning i am so excited and eager to share more as i progress, i have no immediate plans for the use of the program but i am exploring options into expanding my art in the digital world and who knows maybe bring these digitize into the real world via 3d printing not there yet but i am eager to get there.

so over the years i have tried many times to establish a good base a foundation if you will for me to make art of any kind, and over the years i have build a corner in a trailer a table in barn sometimes only having my own lap . point never really having my own space to create the way i have needed too. right now for first i have that personal space. an apartment to myself and my son. there is what used to be the second bedroom that has now been dedicated to an art space its not big but its safe space. having physical space has always been a hurtle so has time. in the most recent years the last 10 really. i had to devote my time to work taking care of others and just survive. a lot has change by now means am out of all struggles but i have gained ground like never before. i have a stable job i like that i don't have to work 80 hours a week to survive, i now also have a laptop two in fact along with other extras. the laptops while outdated are huge help to to my life and art. now i have the means to share and learn with everyone on this site and beyond. i am so eager to share on here again.
